There are 925 homes in the neighborhood, which are bordered on the North by Old Buckingham Road/Park Bend Drive, on the East by Audelia Road, to the South by Walnut Street and to the West by Abrams Road.The community has convenient access to both Central Expressway (U.S. 75) and LBJ Freeway (I635). The streets are well kept and lined with mature trees. The "Richland News" goes to all 925 homes in Richland Park and Richland Oaks. The newsletter is published five times a year in March, Apr-May, June-July, September and November. The neighborhood also has a park, Richland Park, that is within easy walking distance from all homes. There is an award winning elementary school, Richland Elementary, adjacent to the park. The Richland Homeowners Association maintains an active Crime Watch Patrol staffed by volunteers from the neighborhood. The patrol drives the neighborhood during most hours keeping an eye out for suspicious activity. The Crime Watch Patrol has served to keep crime in the neighborhood at a minimum; crime has been down over the last year. |
